Lagos, NIGERIA — Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has officially called out former two-time heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua. In a viral declaration, the “Zazu” crooner claimed he is prepared to step into the ring with the boxing superstar, provided a massive purse of ₦1 billion (approx. $735,000) is put on the table.
Portable, known for his eccentric personality and recent foray into celebrity exhibition matches, has shifted his focus from a long-rumored bout with fellow entertainer Speed Darlington to the British-Nigerian heavyweight.
Okay News reports that while the singer acknowledges the gap in professional skill, he remains confident that his “street energy” and the right financial incentive would make the fight a reality. “I am ready to take you down if the money is right,” Portable asserted, emphasizing that he is no longer interested in low-stakes celebrity feuds.
The challenge comes at a time when Anthony Joshua is reportedly finalizing his own professional schedule for late 2026.
For Portable, the move aligns with his brand of constant self-promotion and “bravado,” which has previously seen him engage in physical altercations and public disputes.
