INEC Declares Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq Winner of Kwara State Governorship Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State as the winner of the 2023 governorship election in the state.

This victory is a significant milestone for the governor who won a landslide victory, having won in all 16 local government areas of the state.

The announcement was made by the INEC Returning officer for the polls, Professor Isaac Itodo, the Vice Chancellor, the Federal University of Agriculture Markurdi, Benue state.

According to the results declared, the governor polled a total of 273,424 votes to defeat his closest rival, Yaman Abdullahi of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 155,490 votes.
