The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has warned Nigerians not to believe the Kogi gov election results being bandied around on social media.

“INEC wishes to state that results of Kogi gov election being posted on Social Media are inaccurate and should be disregarded #KogiDecides,” the electoral commission tweeted.

It added, “Official results will subsequently be announced and the winner of the election declared by the INEC returning officer.”
