Ibrahim along with his deputy, Alabi Ebenezer Omotayo, was listed as candidate 21, among the 28 candidates for the election which will take place on 25 November.

The list was signed by the secretary of the commission, Mrs Augusta C. Ogakwu.

Conspicuously missing was Eyitayo Jegede, candidate of the Makarfi faction of the party.

An INEC source told NAN that INEC was simply following court order.

Jimoh had gotten a court order, which he personally served on the commission, claiming to be the authentic candidate of the party.
