Annie Idibia, actress and wife of iconic Nigerian singer 2Baba, has opened up about a deeply personal experience, revealing she suffered a miscarriage while pregnant with twins last year.
She shared her emotional journey during a recent episode of the reality TV series ‘Young, Famous and African,’ admitting the loss was particularly difficult despite already being a mother of two.
“The whole of last year, even in the group, I was not coming out enough. I was pregnant with twins but I had a miscarriage,” she disclosed.
The 40-year-old actress recounted the difficulty of opening up about her loss, stating that only her husband, 2Baba, whose real name is Innocent Idibia, and her mother knew about the miscarriage.
“I wish I had someone in this group to tell me I’m pregnant. I would be having a baby, and then we lost that. It was hard,” she said.
“I was not even sure if I could even share this with any of my friends. It is only Innocent and my mom that knew about it.”
The third season of ‘Young, Famous and African’ premiered on Netflix on January 17, continuing to chronicle the lives of affluent A-list personalities in music, media, and fashion across the continent.
