The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Wednesday advised candidates who had registered for the 2016 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to print their examination notification slips.

The advice is contained in a statement issued by the Board’s Head of Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, made available in Lagos.

According to the statement, candidates will have access to the JAMB portal as from Thursday, Feb. 18.

It noted that the notification slip should contain the date, time and venue of the candidates’ examination.

“Candidates are to adhere strictly to the schedules as there will be no rescheduling of examination for any student.

“They are to be in their centres 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination.

“Candidates are also advised to check their schedules properly as the Board will not condone any excuse in the event of candidates missing their date and or time for his or her examination.’’

The Board further stated that candidates were free to visit JAMB accredited CBT centres and cybercafes or at the comfort of their homes to print the slip.

Meanwhile, the Board said it had concluded arrangements for the smooth takeoff of the Computer Based Test (CBT) platform, scheduled to begin on Feb. 29.

“A test run was carried out in all accredited centres on Sunday, Feb. 14 and the result was a confirmation of its painstaking preparation as everything was perfect and set for the exercise,’’ it added.
