The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the minimum cut-off mark of 140 for admissions into universities across the country for the 2022/23 academic session.

The disclosure was made by Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, the Registrar of JAMB, during a presentation at the 2023 Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions held in Abuja on Saturday.

Addressing the gathering of education stakeholders, Prof. Oloyede emphasized that the score of 140 and above has been set as the minimum requirement for prospective candidates seeking admission into universities.

However, he also clarified that these criteria serve as guidelines and institutions have the freedom to deviate from them if they wish.

In addition to the university cut-off mark, JAMB has approved a minimum score of 100 for admissions into Polytechnics and Colleges of Education.
