American rap mogul Jay-Z born Shawn Corey Carter in his new album 4:44 a compilation of confessions, has revealed that his mother Gloria Carter is a Lesbian.
Jay’s 4:44 album listening which took place on Thursday the 29th of June, heard the power rap artiste tearing every bit of his past and the circumstances around it.
Talking about his mother’s sexuality, he said: “Momma had 4 kids but she’s a lesbian/ had to pretend so long that she’s a lesbian/Had to hide in the closet, so she medicate.
“Society shame and the pain was too much to take/Cried tears of joy when you fell in love/Don’t matter to me if it’s a him or her.”
Gloria Carter who is apparently now proud of her sexuality, got to feature on the track with a spoken word performance about her sexuality. ‘Love who you love, because life isn’t guaranteed,’ she said.
