The mother of Nigerian business mogul, Jimoh Ibrahim, died in an early morning fire accident.

The fire incident occurred around 2am at her Victoria Garden City (VGC) residence in Lagos on Saturday.

Mrs. Theresa Jimoh was said to have been burnt to death before the inferno was put out by firefighters from the Lagos State Fire Service, okay reports.

CSP Chike Oti, Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident.

He noted that the remains of the deceased have been deposited in a morgue, adding that investigations were ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
