John-Terry-Chelsea-new-1-2

Chelsea skipper, John Terry, has been ruled out for 10 days after sustaining injury in last weekend’s Premier League clash away to Swansea which ended 2-2.

This was revealed on Chelsea’s official website on Tuesday afternoon.

Terry will now miss Chelsea’s clash against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

“John Terry’s injury suffered in Sunday’s game at Swansea is strained ligaments in his foot. He will be out for approximately 10 days,” a statement on the club’s website reads.

“Our captain was injured in the closing minutes of the 2-2 draw at the Liberty Stadium. He completed the game in pain and Antonio Conte confirmed afterwards the problem would need medical assessment.”

Terry’s latest injury setback could pave the way for defender David Luiz who returned to the London-based club after departing for Paris Saint Germaine in 2014.
