Mourinho-Everton-Sept2015-111

Under-fire Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been given a one-match stadium ban for his behaviour during Chelsea’s defeat to West Ham.

The beleaguered Portuguese was sent to the stands at half-time during the Boleyn Ground clash last month for questioning the dismissal of Nemanja Matic.

The ban comes in with immediate effect, meaning Mourinho will miss Saturday’s clash with Stoke. He has also been fined £40,000 by the FA for the incident.

An FA statement read: “Following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing today, Jose Mourinho has been given a one-match stadium suspension with immediate effect and fined £40,000.

The Chelsea manager admitted an FA charge of misconduct regarding his language and/or behaviour towards the match officials in or around the dressing room area during half-time of the game against West Ham United on 24 October 2015.”
