40 persons has been confirmed killed by gunmen in two communities of Shinkafi and Anka local governments areas of Zamfara state.
Okay Nigeria gathered that gunmen moving in numbers on motorcycles, were said to have attacked the communities and Danjibga in the local government areas.
The Army spokesman of Operation Sharar Daji confirmed the attack to the Nation, saying the casualties and extent of damage in the attacks would be released later.
He furthered stated that the Commander- in- Charge of the operations had arrived in the area to provide security and get on- the- spot assessment.
Muhammad Shehu, Police Public Relations officer in Zamfara, couldn’t confirm the numbers casualties in the recent attacks.
He, however assured that more information will be provided later today.
