Tottenham Hotspur has paid tribute to former defender and Leyton Orient manager Justin Edinburgh.

Edinburgh passed away at the age of 49.

Edinburgh had traveled to Spain over the weekend to watch the Champions League Final with his friends and other former players.

But was later rushed to hospital on Monday after falling ill unexpectedly.

The Premier League club sent their condolences to Edinburgh’s family, and it read:

We are deeply saddened and shocked to hear of the passing of Justin Edinburgh.

Our heartfelt condolences and thoughts go out to his family and friends at this terribly difficult time as well as everyone that worked alongside Justin at Leyton Orient.

Edinburgh made 215 Premier League appearances for Tottenham Hotspur and also won the 1991 FA Cup and the 1999 League Cup.
