Pogba-1

Paul Pogba has admitted that Barcelona deserved to be crowned Champions League winners, but insisted that Juventus should have been awarded a penalty in the game.

Ivan Rakitic had opened scoring for the La Liga champions, before Alvaro Morata equalized early in the second half.

The referee refused to point to the spot after Pogba was brought down in the box, before Luis Suarez pounced to make it 2-1.

Neymar added a third with the last kick of the game, as Barcelona completed a historic Treble and won their fourth Champions League trophy in 10 years.

“Yeah. I think the ref made some mistakes tonight but that’s football. We cannot do anything about it, we have to learn,” Pogba told Sky.

“We tried our best but Barca were better than us. They had something that we didn’t have tonight.

“We believed that we could win the game when we scored but after they got the second one, our heads went down. We tried again but they scored again and that killed us.”
