Italian champions Juventus have rejected a €16million bid from Arsenal for Gabonese midfielder Mario Lemina, according to Tuttomercatoweb.com.

The 22-year-old only recently joined the Serie A side on a permanent deal from French giants Olympique Marseille, having spent the 2015/16 season on loan in Turin.

With Juve having signed Miralem Pjanic from Serie A rivals Roma, it is thought that Lemina is unlikely to see more action than the seven league starts he made last term.

Arsenal are looking to boost their squad after a dispiriting 4-3 home loss to Liverpool at the start of their Premier League campaign and have offered Juve a total of €16million to bring Lemina to London.

However, the Bianconeri have rejected Arsenal’s bid and are reportedly holding out for €20million.

Lemina has also been linked with Stoke City, Leicester City, Watford and Bundesliga clubs RB Leipzig and Schalke 04 in the European summer transfer window.
