The Kano State Government has declared Friday a public holiday to allow civil servants who have not collected their Permanent Voter Cards to do so.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer in the office of the state’s Head of Service, Alhaji Mustapha Fagge, and issued to newsmen in Kano on Thursday.

According to the statement, the public holiday is necessary to enable civil servants use the opportunity to obtain their PVCs at INEC designation centres.

The statement urged civil servants to ensure that they visited the distribution centres to collect their PVCs.
