Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has expressed dissatisfaction with the implementation of the State Ramadan Feeding Programme, citing concerns over food quality and mismanagement of resources.

During an impromptu visit to a feeding center in Municipal Local Government Area, Governor Yusuf questioned the quality and quantity of food provided, labeling it as “nonsense” and warning against repeat occurrences.

He emphasized the need for transparency and accountability in the management of public funds allocated for the initiative, directing his Chief of Staff to monitor the situation closely and provide daily updates.

The Ramadan Feeding Programme, which had a budget of N6 billion, faced public criticism for alleged inefficiencies and discrepancies, prompting calls for more impactful projects instead.
