Junior Lokosa’s first-half double ensured Kano Pillars beat champions Plateau United 2-0 on Wednesday to move to third spot in the Nigeria Professional Football League standings.

Lokosa put the Sai Masu Gida ahead in the 21st minute with a delightful goal before increasing the lead six minutes later.

Meanwhile, leaders Akwa United maintained their impressive form after securing a point at FC Ifeanyiubah, who had to fight back to ensure the game finished 1-1.
