On November 22, 2024, acclaimed rapper Kendrick Lamar surprised fans by releasing his sixth studio album, GNX.

This unexpected drop follows his 2022 album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.

GNX comprises 12 tracks, showcasing Lamar’s signature storytelling and lyrical prowess. The album features collaborations with artists such as SZA and includes production contributions from Jack Antonoff, Sounwave, and DJ Mustard.

  • “Wacced Out Murals”: The opening track references Lamar’s Buick GNX and mentions artists like Snoop Dogg and Nas.
  • “Luther”: This song features sampled vocals from Luther Vandross and Cheryl Lynn, with SZA contributing to the track.

Jack Antonoff co-produced every track except “Peekaboo,” bringing a unique sonic texture to the album. SZA, a former labelmate from Top Dawg Entertainment, appears on multiple songs, adding depth to the project.
