Key Stakeholders Meet to Resolve Dangote Refinery Dispute

A high-level meeting was convened by Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, to address the ongoing issues surrounding the Dangote Refinery. The meeting, held on Monday, brought together prominent figures in the oil and gas sector, including Aliko Dangote, Farouk Ahmed, Gbenga Komolafe, and Mele Kyari.

According to a statement released by Lokpobiri’s Special Adviser, the meeting aimed to find a sustainable solution to the current impasse affecting the refinery. All parties demonstrated a commitment to collaborative problem-solving, recognizing the importance of cooperation for the success of the oil and gas sector.

This development comes after Dangote offered to sell the refinery to the NNPC amid accusations of monopoly in the industry. The meeting highlights the government’s efforts to resolve the dispute and ensure the optimal performance of the sector, crucial for Nigeria’s economic growth and energy security.
