The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, on Tuesday inspected facilities at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport following a fire incident that occurred at the airport.

Keyamo was accompanied by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Olubunmi Kuku.

After the inspection, the minister briefed journalists on the situation, reassuring passengers and stakeholders of the swift response by airport authorities. He also led members of the media on a tour of the temporary terminal, which is scheduled to be opened soon to ensure seamless passenger processing and operational continuity.

Keyamo commended first responders for their prompt and coordinated efforts in containing the fire and minimising disruption to airport activities. He assured the public that flight operations have fully resumed and that the airport remains safe and secure for travel.
