Kidnapped Adamawa DPO regains freedom

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Mubi Division, Ahijo Muhammad, who was kidnapped a fortnight ago by unknown persons, has regained freedom.

Okay.ng understands that Muhammad was abducted about two weeks ago on his way to Mubi from Yola.

Sulaiman Nguroje, the command’s spokesman, announced on Sunday that the DPO had been rescued from the kidnappers’ den on Saturday.

The spokesman revealed that Muhammad was rescued by the Police Operation Puff Ader/Operation Farauta in Mubi.

“The Command Anti-kidnap Unit is now investigating the matter with a view to arresting the fleeing kidnappers,” Nguroje said.
