Kidnapped FUNAAB Student Killed by Abductors in Lagos

A student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta , Ogun State, Christiana Idowu , who was kidnapped between Ikorodu and Yaba in Lagos State, has been allegedly killed by her abductor.

This was confirmed to the press on Thursday by the President of the Government of the Students Union, FUNAAB , Ibrahim Adeyemi.
Adeyemi said: “The syndicate can confirm that she was allegedly killed by her kidnapper. We will deal with this soon.”

The source told newsmen that Christiana left her home in Itaoluwo area of Ikorodu to go to the University of Lagos in Yaba area of the state where she was undergoing her industrial training before she is kidnapped by kidnappers.
The source also revealed that after not being contacted for some time, the kidnappers contacted the family on her phone, demanding a ransom of N3 million before she would be released. The source added that after several calls from the family, the kidnappers agreed that a sum of N350,000 be deposited in a certain account, which the family paid, but the kidnappers refused to release him despite the payment.

The tweet said, Investigation by intelligence officers started on the 26th to find out the details of the account number.

On the 29th, intelligence officers received confirmation from the bank that the BVN linked to the hidden betting account allegedly belonged to the owner of the account (name withheld for now).

Further investigation revealed that he managed to withdraw the sum of N100,000 from the betting account before officials forced the betting company to freeze the account.

He added that the operatives, however, traced the suspected kidnapper to a place in Ikorodu , Lagos State, where Christiana’s family also resides.

“With this information, the officers started an investigation on the suspect who they observed to be in a mutual relationship with Christiannah Idowu , especially judging by the Instagram posts that the two comment on each other’s page.

“With all this information in hand, the officers began to track his cell phone and text message activity. The cell phone trace led them to his parents’ house somewhere in Ikorodu .”
