Kidnapper’s Den Discovered In Lagos, Mob Set Suspect Ablaze

A kidnapper’s den has been uncovered at Obadeyi Ajala, Ijaiye end area of the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway on Tuesday morning.

It was learnt that the abandoned house also served as a hideout for Kidnappers. A crowd laid siege to the place around 7 am after a LAWMA highway sweeper raised alarm.

The sweeper reported that she heard the voice of a woman calling for help from the building situated close to a canal

A suspected kidnapper, who fled from the canal, was caught by a mob and set ablaze before the arrival of police officers.

Four Kidnap suspects have been captured so far while two were burnt alive and two others were whisked away. by officers of the Nigerian army.

Nigerian army and police are currently battling to restore normalcy to the area.

A witness, Adesola John, said passers-by overheard the voice of the allegedly kidnapped woman and began to comb the bridge on the expressway where the suspect was found.

“A woman was crying for help and people heard her voice and searched under the bridge before they found this man,” he said.

“The woman has not been found and, as you can see, we are still searching.”

According to a Twitter user, Oluwanifemi, an eye witness said the ‘Ajale’ was uncovered by a female sweeper who heard a victim screaming for help.
