The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has on Thursday presented certificate of return to candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the just concluded Kogi governorship election, Yahaya Bello and his deputy and running mate, Edward Onoja.

Okay.ng understands that the Bello and Onoja were presented the certificates at the Professor Mahmoud Yakubu Hall, INEC state headquarters, Lokoja.

Bello with 406, 222 votes defeated his closest rival, Musa Wada of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 189,704 votes.

INEC National Commissioner in-charge of the North Central, Mohammed Haruna, on Thursday declared that “today marks a new beginning after the election and a call to duty for the governor-elect.”
