Lagos Gov’t Official, 6-Year-Old Girl, 3 Others Die in Multiple Car Crash in Ogun State

The manager of the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Yakubu Bola Yussuf, on Sunday, January 4, 2015 lost his life alongside four others in a multiple road crash along the Abeokuta-Siun-Sagamu Expressway in Ogun State.

Among the victims of the tragic incident which occurred about 6pm was and unidentified girl aged 5 years old.

Seven other persons were said to have sustained varying degrees of injuries following the incident.

New Telegraph reports stated that the vehicles involved in the accident included ‎a black Nissan Almera with registration number Lagos KSF 803 CX, Mitsubishi Space Wagon marked Lagos EPE 925 XD and white Toyota Hilux with number plate Lagos LSR 470 BB‎.

Narrating the incident, an eye witnesses said the tragedy struck when the driver  of the Nissan Almera, who was allegedly on top speed, veered off his lane to the next lane meant for persons going towards the Sagamu area and collided with the commercial Mitsubishi car.
