Lagos State DSVA Investigates Viral Video of Woman Smoking Near Baby

By Muhammad A. Aliyu

The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) has launched an investigation into a disturbing video circulating on social media showing a woman smoking near a baby.

In the viral footage, which has sparked outrage among viewers, a woman whose identity remains undisclosed can be seen smoking shisha while holding her baby.

Shockingly, she blows the smoke from the shisha directly towards the infant.

Adding to the concern, the woman captions the video with the words: “My baby sef don shayo,” a colloquial expression in Nigerian Pidgin English meaning “Even my baby is getting high.”

In response to the alarming content of the video, the DSVA took to its official social media channels to issue a public appeal for information regarding the identity and whereabouts of the woman.

“If anyone has any information about this, kindly get in touch with us immediately,” the agency wrote in its post. “Please use our toll-free hotline: 08000 333 333 or send us a direct message through our social media platforms.”
