A seven-storey building under construction collapsed in the affluent neighborhood of Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Okay.ng gathered that the building gave way on Wednesday, past 3 pm, when some of the workers had already left the site.
However, a few construction workers got injured and trapped when the building crumbled.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Lagos Fire Service and Rescue Service, Amodu Shakiri, said that they received a distress call around 3:58 pm.
“We are currently trying to ascertain the claim that no one was under the rubble,” Shakiri stated.
