The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed several establishments in Ikorodu for persistent environmental violations, including noise pollution and improper waste management.

The enforcement exercise, conducted by the agency’s monitoring team, covered key areas such as Agodo Gas Line, Odogunyan Industrial Layout, Ita Oluwo Junction, Haruna, Ipakodo Road, and Ebute.

Among the affected facilities were hotels, lounges, bars, and industrial firms found guilty of breaching state environmental regulations.

Some of the sealed establishments include Zero Square Bar & Lounge, Starex Poly, Oloruntele Poly, Limpex Resources, Skipper Nigeria Ltd, Star Rain Nigeria Limited, NDO Hotel & Suites, Embassy Lounge, Beechwood Guest House, Obas Hotel & Suites, and A-Star Pencil.

LASEPA General Manager, Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, said the operation was part of ongoing efforts to protect public health and ensure compliance with environmental laws across Lagos State.

“Noise pollution and other environmental abuses affect the well-being of residents. This enforcement exercise shows our determination to maintain a cleaner and safer Lagos,” Ajayi stated.

He explained that the crackdown aims to restore environmental order in urban and industrial areas, stressing that similar exercises would continue across the state.

Ajayi urged business owners and residents to operate within the limits of environmental laws, warning that LASEPA would not tolerate activities harmful to the environment or public health.
