A Student of Department of Public administration, Faculty of Management has been suspended by LASU Students’ Disciplinary Committee from the University for Cultism and Rape.

The Vice Chancellor, Lagos State University, Prof. ‘Lanre Fagbohun, has approved the recommendation of the Students’ Disciplinary Committee that Adeyemi Temitope, with Matriculation Number 100832003, Department of Public administration, Faculty of Management Sciences, be suspended with immediate effect from the University, pending the outcome of the Court judgement on the case of Cultism and Rape against him.

This was contained in a statement made available by the information department of the institution on Friday.

Adeyemi Temitope has been warned not to participate in any Socio-Academic activities of the University until the suspension is lifted.

Meanwhile, the University Management frowned at unnecessary destruction of trees around Faculties and Service Centres at the campus.

It noted that the unauthorised destruction of ornamental trees and shrubs for various reasons has become common and should be stopped.

Management has therefore directed that henceforth, all issues relating to the cutting and trimming of trees/shrubs, etc, must be directed to the Head, Parks and Garden Unit of the Vice Chancellor’s Office.
