Abiodun-Faleke

Late Abubakar Audu’s running mate in the Kogi elections, Abiodun Faleke, has rejected the emergence of Yahaya Bello as APC’s candidate for the supplementary governorship elections in the state.

Faleke yesterday wrote a second letter to the party’s national chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun saying he is not prepared to give up his ‘mandate’ for any reason whatsoever.

He said he is the rightful person to step into the late Audu’s shoes, and pleaded the application of the ‘doctrine of necessity’ used in the crisis that trailed the demise of President Umaru Yar’Adua in 2010.
