President Muhammadu Buhari has been dragged to court by Inibehe Effiong, a lawyer in Lagos, for travelling without informing the National Assembly.

Okay Nigeria reported that the president left the country to the United Kingdom for a 10 days private visit and returned on May 5.

Effiong in the suit filed at the federal high court, Ikoyi, stated that constitutional provision of a written declaration to the national assembly would have enabled the Vice president to serve as acting president.

The lawyer said that security situation of the country worsened during the period of the president’s absence.

He added the Attorney general of the federation as second defendant of the case.
