A popular pastor in Namibia has died after he was struck by lightning during a prayer service.
According to Rundu police, the 41-year-old pastor of the Apostolic Church identified as Kavanga John Karora, died instantly after lightning struck him on Sunday.
Members of the Church who were at the scene, told police that Karora was leading the prayer services when lightning suddenly struck him.
A large plume of smoke was seen around the pastor about 12:30 p.m. He was unable to be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene with no physical evidence of injuries.
