The situation between Weezy and his longtime record label Cash Money Records might seem dire, but according to Young Money president Mack Maine, Tha Carter V is coming in the first part of next year and he thinks things will be smoothed over between Wayne and Baby.

Maine recently sat down with 99 Jamz and addressed the elephant in the room saying despite the “Start A Fire” rapper’s recent statements that his music is being held up and he wants off CMR, the LP will hit shelves in the first quarter of 2015.

“He’s touching up the album and about to start another special project for the people. I can’t give a definitive date [for Carter V]. I can just say first quarter for sure,” he said. “It’s coming out. Don’t get it twisted like it’s not coming out.”
