Burna Boy, the Grammy Award-winning Nigerian Afrobeat artist, has just released a new single titled “Higher.” This marks his first solo release of 2024.

The song, described as emotionally deep and reflective, signifies a departure from Burna Boy’s typical high-energy tracks.

“Higher” is not just a song but part of Burna Boy’s ongoing initiative, Project PROTECT. The initiative aims to provide financial, medical, and legal assistance to communities affected by systemic violence and poverty in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

The music video, directed by Burna Boy and Asurf, highlights his philanthropic efforts as he visits his childhood home and local villages to distribute essential supplies alongside volunteers from Project PROTECT and The R.E.A.C.H. (Reach Every Available Communal Household).
