Madonna says she and rap legend Tupac Shakur were lovers … once upon a time.
In an interview on Howard Stern‘s SiriusXM radion show, the original ‘Material Girl’ said opened up about her relationship with the rapper who was tragically killed in 1996.
While explaining her frequent ‘hostile’ interviews with David Letterman back in the day to Howard, Madonna literally spilled the beans on Tupac:
“I was mad at [David Letterman] when I said the F-word a lot…. I was in a weird mood that day. I was dating Tupac Shakur at the time and the thing is he got me all riled up about life in general.”
Adding: “So when I went on the show I was feeling very gangsta.”
Madonna and Tupac were rumored to have dated back in 1994 (the same year as the Letterman appearance) but the 56-year-old never spoke publicly addressed it.
Prior to his death, Tupac referred to Madonna as ‘real nice’ and someone who ‘helped me a lot’.
