Stamford Bridge, London, ENGLAND – Manchester United claimed all three points after a nervy ninety-five minute game at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea’s home soil.

Okay News reports that the breakthrough for Manchester United came at the stroke of halftime when Matheus Cunha gave the Red Devils a lead. Chelsea fought back to respond and came close to scoring twice, with Liam Delap’s header hitting the crossbar.

As the pressure piled on Michael Carrick’s men, Noussair Mazraoui almost scored an own goal in the 67th minute while attempting to prevent Fofana from getting the ball off Cole Palmer’s pass.

Referee Michael Oliver blew the whistle at the 95th minute of the game, as Chelsea failed to convert more threatening chances mounted on Manchester United.

The win now boosts Manchester United’s chances of competing in the UEFA Champions League next season. Chelsea, who had four scoring opportunities now sit five points behind fifth-places Liverpool.
