Many people are reportedly trapped under the piles of rubble of a collapsed car park after a crane brought down the building in Tel Aviv.

The incident happened in Ramat Hahayil, a commercial area in the city’s north.

The park which is under construction collapsed after the crane fell on the three-storey building, reducing it to sand and stones.

According to report,  a total of nine people have been rescued and taken to the hospital for treatment.

Unconfirmed reports from the Isreali emergency service, however, state that up to twenty people could be missing.

Rescue operation is underway to get the people trapped out of the collapsed building.

There was no confirmation of fatality as at the time of filing this report.
