Martial has the talent to be at Ronaldo’s level, says Solskjaer

Anthony Martial has the talent to be at Cristiano Ronaldo’s level, says Manchester United caretaker manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Okay Nigeria recalls that Martial had planned to leave Manchester United earlier after falling out with Jose Mourinho, the former manager of the club.

However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was appointed interim manager of the club to replace Jose Mourinho after a woefully performance in December.

Anthony Martial went ahead and signed a new deal with the club which will see him till 2024.

“He does have similarities, of course,” said Solskjaer.

“If he wants to be at Cristiano’s level, Anthony knows what he has to do. It’s up to him. He has the talent.”

“I am glad he is in my team,” the Norwegian added. “He has contributed to so many chances, so many goals. He is a Manchester United player. He excites the crowd. He excites the manager. He excites his teammates. And he is a great character around the place.”
