Inter Milan captain Mauro Icardi has signed a new six-year contract with the Serie A club.

Icardi, 23, had been linked with a move away from Inter in the summer, with Napoli reportedly interested in his signature.

But the Argentina striker stayed at Inter and has gone on to net six goals in seven Serie A goals this campaign.

Icardi signed for the Nerazzurri from Sampdoria in 2013 and has since netted 53 league goals for the side.
