MILO has launched a 30-day Ramadan gifting campaign across Northern Nigeria, reaching families and honouring the values that define the holy month through donations of food items and essential supplies.
Okay News reports that the initiative includes the donation of over one million sampled cups, more than 1,000 MILO cartons, and essential Iftar items such as prayer mats, prayer kettles, and plastic buckets distributed across the region. The campaign is supported by MILO’s ambassadors, including Ahmed Musa, Mansurah Isah, and Sulaimon Bosho, who have helped amplify its message of unity and generosity.
Gilbert Tweneboah-Koduah, Category Manager for Beverages, said executing this initiative during Ramadan reflects the company’s commitment to deepening its connection with consumers. By providing essential items for Iftar, the brand is supporting families and aligning its actions with the values of care and compassion. The donated items will be handed over to 100 religious and community leaders overseeing mosques with an average of 300 worshippers each, who will coordinate distribution.
Sheikh Ibrahim Shehi Mai Hula, Chairman of the Kano State Hisbah Board, commended the effort, stating that it is great to see MILO go beyond commercial sales to support those in need during Ramadan. Their donation is helping reach more people, and we are grateful for their generosity. Beyond this campaign, MILO continues to invest in initiatives such as MILO Building Champs, the MILO Building Champs Sports Fest, and the MILO Basketball Championship, reinforcing its long-term commitment to empowering the next generation.
