Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, has told the Senate that non-performing refineries will be shut down by December, 2015.

Kachikwu made the disclosure while undergoing ministerial screening. He said, “At the end of December we will compare production of refineries and shut down whichever ones are not producing”

‘The current average performance level of our Refineries are 25 – 28%.’
