Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has expressed hopes he will be fit in time for the 2018 World Cup.

The Egyptian was hurled off the pitch after a shoulder injury, just 30 minutes into his side’s 3-1 Champions League final loss to Real Madrid on Saturday.

However, Salah wrote on Twitter that, “It was a very tough night, but I’m a fighter.

“Despite the odds, I’m confident that I’ll be in Russia to make you all proud.

“Your love and support will give me the strength I need.”
