Moji Olaiya: Late Actress Body To Arrive Nigeria Today Ahead Of 8-day Fidau Prayer

The remains of Nollywood actress, Moji Olaiya, is expected to arrive in Nigeria on Monday.


An impeccable source close to the late actress and her relatives told DAILY POST on Sunday that plans were in top gear to ensure the she’s brought back to Nigeria ahead of the 8-day fidau prayer.

The source said: “Her remains will be flown in Monday hopefully. We have been making frantic efforts to get this done.

“We are in constant touch with the family and from all indications, Moji will return home in less than 48 hours”.

The fidau prayer, which will hold on Thursday, is regarded by many Muslims as mandatory, and in line with Islamic rites.

The prayer, mostly attended by family, relatives, friends, colleagues of a deceased, holds eight days after a person’s death.

Moji Olaiya, 42, who delivered a baby in Canada in March, died in a hospital last Thursday.

Moji Olaiya, had in an Instagram post just days before her passing, wrote: “Allhamdulilahi to you Allah I give all the glory for all you have done. I will forever praise and worship you”.

“It’s not by power but the Grace of Allah. Thank you for the gift of life. Thanks also to all my friends and family my fans for your supports and prayers. Love you all.”
