Morocco have been crowned FIFA Arab Cup 2025 champions after edging Jordan 3–2 in a dramatic extra-time final at Lusail Stadium in Doha, Qatar.
Okay News reports that the final delivered high drama from the opening minutes, with Oussama Tannane giving Morocco an early lead in the fourth minute to set the tone for an intense contest.
Jordan responded strongly after the break. Ali Olwan levelled the score in the 48th minute before converting a VAR-awarded penalty in the 68th minute to put Jordan ahead, briefly swinging momentum in their favour.
As the match neared full time, Morocco mounted sustained pressure and were rewarded in the 89th minute when Abdulrazak Hamdallah struck to force the game into extra time. The striker then completed his brace in the 100th minute, finishing calmly to restore Morocco’s lead and secure the title.
The victory hands Morocco their second Arab Cup trophy and their first since 2012, underlining their consistency at the continental level. The team had dominated possession and territory early in the match but were pushed to the limit by a resilient Jordanian side.
For Jordan, the defeat did little to diminish a historic campaign.
Reaching the final marked the country’s first-ever appearance at this stage of the Arab Cup, a milestone achievement that signals growing progress in their national football development.
