Mourinho tells Manchester United board to sell Anthony Martial

Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho has given the green light for the club to sell French attacker, Anthony Martial this summer.

Martial, 22, has struggled with consistent high performance at Old Trafford this season.

He has, however, managed 11 goals and seven assists in 40 appearances so far.

The arrival of Alexis Sanchez in the January transfer window meant that Martial now faces increased competition for places at the club.

A source at Old Trafford told Sunday Mirror that Mourinho has “lost patience” with Martial and has told United to offload the forward at the end of the campaign.

Italian giant, Juventus have shown interest in Martial and have already met his representatives for initial talks over a possible move.

Jose Mourinho’s side will use the funds from the sale of Martial to make another push for Gareth Bale.

Bale is still wanted by Mourinho and United’s hopes of signing the Wales international have been raised as Real Madrid are open to selling the player.
