Some months back, Samsung announced their Galaxy Note Edge alongside the Galaxy Note IV and it was launched to critical acclaim. With a rumoured Samsung Galaxy S6 in the works, there have been calls for the device to sport an edge too.

However, at the CES2015, LG decided to go one up by demoing a double-edged screen on a 6-inch device. The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is 5.7 inches.

The LG display has not been announced to be shipping with any particular device in the recent future but it was was demoed using a 6-inch prototype and that screen size fits the G Flex range but the G Flex2 which was announced at the CES2015 is sporting the regular curved screen rather than the edged screen. At 6 inches, this will be difficult to handle and will require using two hands to operate the device as the probability of unintentionally launching functions from the edge will increase.
