Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose has lost out on a ruling to stop impeachment proceedings against him and his deputy,Kolapo Olusola..A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja today  refused to halt the impeachment proceeding against Governor, Ayodele Fayose, and his deputy, Kolapo Olusola.

The impeachment notice is said to have been instituted by 19 APC members who returned following Buhari’s victory at the presidential polls.They were all impeached when the governor took over power in October 2014. The governor has been working with only six members of the PDP in the national House of Assembly,Ekiti.

The new development has prompted the closure of the House of Assembly by security agents.
