Phuthuma-Nhleko-New-MTN-boss

Mr. Phuthuma Nhleko has been appointed as the new group CEO of MTN Nigeria.

The former group CEO, Mr. Sifiso Dabengwa, had resigned due to the N1.04tn fine imposed on the company by the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC.

Ttemporally Non-Executive Chairman of the company, Mr. Nhleko took over as acting Executive chairman for a maximum period of six months pending the appointment of a new CEO.

“I’ll proactively deal with the Nigerian regulator and will continue to work with them in addressing the issues around unregistered subscribers as a matter of urgency”, Nhleko.
