MTN Nigeria secured four major honours at the 2025 Consumers Value Awards (CVA), reinforcing its position as a dominant force in Nigeria’s telecommunications market and a leading brand in consumer trust. The event, held at Ijakadi Hall, Radisson Blu Hotel in Ikeja GRA, Lagos, followed a nationwide open-voting process that determined all winners.
The awards were organised by BrandXchange under the theme “Beyond Prices: Consumer Trust, Digital Experience & Brand Accountability,” reflecting the criteria consumers used to assess brands across sectors.
MTN emerged winner in four critical categories: Best Green Energy Adoption by a Company with 53 percent of votes; Best Customer Service Telecoms Brand with 54 percent; Most Reliable Internet Service Provider with 66 percent; and Best CSR Initiative by a Corporate Brand through the MTN Foundation, which secured 73 percent of votes.
Chief Customer Relations and Experience Officer, Ugonwa Nwoye, said the recognition reflects the company’s sustained commitment to service quality, innovation and corporate responsibility. She noted that the awards confirm the level of loyalty the public continues to extend to the brand.
The strong voting numbers highlight MTN’s strategic investments in infrastructure, digital customer experience and environmental sustainability. The Most Reliable Internet Service Provider award underscores the impact of the company’s capital projects across its network, improving connectivity for millions of users nationwide.
The Best Green Energy Adoption award marks public approval of MTN’s ongoing transition to cleaner power sources across its extensive network footprint. The company’s shift toward reduced diesel dependence and sustainable energy aligns with broader global standards for emissions reduction.
The MTN Foundation’s win for Best CSR Initiative recognises its interventions in education, health, community development and youth empowerment, reinforcing the company’s reputation for long-term social impact.
